The spirit of generosity has always defined the leaders of endodontics, and I have been fortunate to experience it firsthand. From the very beginning of my career, when I was simply asking questions, I received guidance and encouragement from internationally recognized endodontists who inspired me to pursue excellence in this field.

I remain indebted to mentors and colleagues such as Stephen Schwartz, Barry Korzen, John Ingle, Dudley Glick, Al Frank, Richard Burns, Noah Chivian, Herbert Schilder, Frank Weine, Jeffery Hutter, Al Krakow, Vinio Malagnino, Jean Marie Laurichaise, and Dan Even, whose personal support shaped my early endeavors.

My deepest gratitude goes to Dr. Melissa Marchesan from Brazil, whose tireless dedication to research was instrumental, and to my son, John Thomas McSpadden, for his invaluable contribution to computerized protocols.
